Saudi Arabia and some private sectors have hugely invested in petrochemicals but mainly in prime, basic, and upstream petrochemicals where as of today the total petrochemicals productions in KSA reached 150 million metric tones per annum…. Current Projects
Specialty Polymers
A project for producing Specialty Polymers & Chemicals is in an advanced development stage … the technology license is being discussed with various reputed technology providers. The main feedstock has been identified and are being secured from the authorities as well as from nearby petrochemical companies. Pre-marketing activities are on progress. The project land has been allocated by Royal Commission with total area of 70,000 m2 in Jubail Industrial city, Saudi Arabia.
Monomers and Comonomers
A project for producing special grade of monomers and comonomers is underway. The products are mainly used in polymers manufacturing industry. The process licensors are being sough where some discussions with potential technology licensors are on-going. The project will be located in Jubail Industrial city, Saudi Arabia.
Chemical Material
A project for producing “basic chemicals” for wide applications is under advanced stage of development. The plant utilizes the Natural Gas (NG) as a feedstock. The process license has been identified and under discussion for license agreement. The project will use a newly innovated process technology which is considered a revolution in petrochemical industry.
